Mr. Griffin, Managing Director has been a broker at Scopa CRE since 1990. Mr. Griffin’s career in real estate began with Cushman and Wakefield where he managed 25 million square feet of properties as vice president. In addition to managing a 25MM sf portfolio of Class A commercial properties, during his tenure there, Mr. Griffin assisted key personnel in numerous landlord and tenant issues. 

In 1980 he became President of Thermocycle, an energy conservation company with offices throughout the US, Canada and the UK. After a successful career at Thermocycle, Mr. Griffin returned to commercial management and accepted the position of Director of Property Management at the Edward S Gordon Co. where he managed in excess of 25 million square feet of Class A office buildings.  He later joined Bankers Trust Company as Managing Director of Global Real Estate.  Mr. Griffin then became the executive in charge of design and construction of CIBC’S 1,000,000 sq ft building at 300 Madison Avenue completing the building on time and under budget by 56 million dollars.

During 2008, 2009 & 2010 Mr. Griffin completed in excess of 500,000 sf of leases globally  on behalf of a NYSE listed mid cap company that has close to 100 leases world wide.  Notable transactions completed on their behalf include in sourcing between 5 and 700 jobs domestically into a 75,000 sf build to suit property in Florence, SC; and in sourcing 350 – 400 jobs to a 5,500 square meter building in Brno, CZ.  Other notable transactions would include a 28,000 sf data center in Boston, MA, a 6,000 square meter relocation in Seoul, Korea, a multi city 10,000 square meter consolidation in China and a 36,000 square foot consolidation in San Francisco, CA.   

One additional notable transaction is a 30 year - 850,000 square foot sub-lease between CIBC (Sub Landlord) and Price Waterhouse (Sub Tenant) at 300 Madison Avenue in New York City ($1.2BB transaction).

Mr. Griffin obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology.  He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Covenant House.  Mr. Griffin also served as President of BOMA (NY Chapter) circa 1990.
